Textured vs. Smooth PEI

Both surfaces comprise of the same PEI material, but differ in how they are manufactured. This difference allows us to offer two different surface finishes, while also catering to a wider range of 3D printing materials. Combining them into one, double-sided flex plate gives you the choice of either finish just by flipping the plate over, no re-leveling needed!

Aesthetic Difference

 Smooth PEI Textured PEI
The smooth PEI leaves behind a smooth, reflective finish on the bottom of your prints. The textured PEI leaves behind a matte, pebble like finish on the bottom of your prints.
